Established in 1989, Palais Dance Studio is known for high standards and the good results our candidates achieve in external examinations. We are a private ballet school that specialises in high-calibre ballet classes & dance education, and offers a nurturing environment that encourages each student to achieve his/her personal best at each level of learning.

The curriculum of our ballet school includes children's entry-level classes through to pre-professional training. Besides our unique in-house Beginner Ballet programme for younger kids, we offer the Royal Academy of Dance ( RAD ) ballet syllabus lessons & examination coaching at Grades, Higher Grades & Vocational Grades levels.

Palais Dance Studio is located at Crown Centre, along Bukit Timah Road, just a short walk from the Botanic Gardens MRT station. Lessons are conducted in our custom-built dance studio. The spacious studio is fully-equipped with wall-to-wall ballet barres and full-length mirrors, and an imported Aerothrust 'sprung' dance floor with dance mat surface.

We are honoured that our Vice-Principal, Teo Ching Ching, is appointed as the first RAD Ballet Examiner from Singapore. Other distinguished alumni include Vanessa Dewi Harijanto, who was awarded Honours or Distinction results for all RAD Grades ballet examinations from Primary through to the Grade 8 Award, & is on our faculty as a qualified RAD Registered Teacher. Rosanne Chong was a student at our school to completion of her RAD Teaching Certificate qualification. She was a member of Batucadas, the dance quartet that was Top 9 Finalists in MediaCorp’s “The Dancefloor” competition on Channel 5.

Palais Dance Studio has mounted numerous dance concerts featuring our pupils. Proceeds of our school concerts ( 1991, 1994, 2001, 2004 & 2009 ) were donated to charity. Selected pupils have also gained further exposure through special projects, including a trailer on CHANNEL NEWSASIA ( 2000 ), performing the “Barbie in the Nutcracker” Ballet ( 2001 ) that was commissioned by Mattel, dancing at the semi-finals & finals of the "Baby Bonanza" ( 2006 ) competition at the invitation of MediaCorp Channel 8, and performing at the Dance Gala ( 2009 ) to help to raise funds for the Genee International Ballet Competition held in Singapore.

We welcome opportunities to showcase our faculty & young dancers in external presentations. Together with ten of our RAD
ballet exam candidates, our Vice-Principal Miss Teo had delivered a Lecture-Demonstration on "Classical Ballet and Life Skills"
on 19 January 2007, at the invitation of the CCA Branch of the Ministry of Education ( MOE ) Singapore. This event was part of
a seminar for school teachers nation-wide. Some one hundred educators were in the audience.

On 5 June 2011, we were pleased to host a special class for children age 4 to 8, on invitation from JimJam
and StarHub TV. The boy & girls were contest winners selected from successful entries in
the "Angela Ballerina Contest". The kids enjoyed a private ballet lesson with our Principal, Ms. Tan.
