Miss Teo Ching Ching is a RAD Grades Examiner.
She holds a Master of Arts ( MA ) degree in Dance
from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts ( Honours ) degree
in Dance from the University of Buckingham. She
was awarded UCLA Fellowships and National Arts
Council ( NAC ) Overseas Arts Bursaries towards
her post-graduate studies in the USA. Miss Teo
is a qualified Registered Teacher of the RAD and
ISTD, with diplomas from both examination boards.
Her ballet choreography
has won Gold and Silver Awards at the Singapore
Youth Festival ( SYF ) Central Judging for Dance.
She has created dances for concerts staged by
Palais Dance Studio, Methodist Girls School (
Primary & Secondary ) and Paya Lebar Methodists
Girls School ( Primary.)
Miss Teo has choreographed
and performed in professional productions by the
Singapore Lyric Opera, displaying her flair in
flamenco ( "Carmen" 1998 & 2002
) and the waltz, character dance, cakewalk and
can-can ( "The Merry Widow" 2004.)
Appointed as the first RAD
Practical Teaching Supervisor in Singapore in
2001, Miss Teo had the privilege & responsibility
of assessing the practical teaching of trainee-teachers
working on their RAD & university validated
teaching qualifications.
She has been appointed as
a Tutor for the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching
Studies ( CBTS ) programme since it was introduced
to our region in 2005. Miss Teo has assessed trainee
ballet teachers in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei,
Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Sri Lanka
in their distance-learning studies. She has also
conducted Intensive Study Period ( ISP ) for CBTS
students in this region.
Miss Teo lectured on
Dance Science at the LASALLE College of the Arts
in AY2009/2010, and looks forward to continue
to share her knowledge and experience at the higher-education
sector.
